The Union of Arab Women Investors Leading Economic Development
The Union of Arab Women Investors held its 25th session of the Arab-African Investment and International Cooperation Conference under the theme “Civil Society and Sustainable Development” in Luxor from October 26 to 30, 2022. The conference focused on economic development and international cooperation. It included participants from 30 Arab, African, and international countries, from first ladies to ministers, diplomats, and business leaders. The conference covered issues such as investment, empowering women, economic development, sustainable tourism, secure investments, social responsibility, technological advancement, and small and medium enterprises within sustainable development.
The conference was held in coordination with the Businesswomen Development Association and supported by the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Trade and Industry, the Ministry of Social Solidarity, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the Tourism Promotion Authority, the Medium, Small, and Micro-Enterprise Development Authority, the Authority of Egyptian Antiquities, and the General Federation of NGOs and Institutions.
Dr. Gamal Elkenany’s Contributions
Dr. Gamal Elkenany, Chairman of the Agricultural Committee at The Union of Arab Women Investors, attended the meeting, emphasizing the importance of supporting women’s empowerment, economic development, and international cooperation. He expressed his dedication to bringing sustainable practices into the agricultural sector. His efforts highlight the union’s commitment to incorporating sustainable development into various sectors.
The Union of Arab Investors, led by Dr. Hoda Yassa, focuses on economic growth and empowering women in business as its main goals. Through this conference, they were able to address various subjects, such as meetings between businessmen to open new markets and meetings with government representatives to discuss investment opportunities to guarantee the success of business-to-business (B2B), business-to-investor (B2I), and business-to-government (B2G) interactions.
